We use the smallest possible set of cookies and storage:

• Strictly necessary. A single first-party cookie (cookie-consent) remembering your consent choice for 12 months. SameSite=Lax.
• Theme. A small localStorage value remembering your light/dark preference — never leaves your device.
• Analytics — sets no cookies. We use Brambla (SDB Digital Ltd) for privacy-first analytics. It sets no cookies at all; it uses only a browser-native sessionStorage value holding an anonymous per-tab id, which your browser clears automatically when you close the tab.

How consent works. Because the analytics set no cookies, hold no personal information, don’t persist beyond the tab, and are used solely to run and improve this site (including spam prevention), they are treated as strictly necessary under UK GDPR / PECR — so they aren’t part of the consent banner. To opt out anyway, browse in private/incognito mode or block track.js from brambla.co.uk. See the privacy policy for exactly what is recorded.

Change your consent choice any time by clearing the cookie-consent cookie or clicking “Reject” if the banner re-surfaces.
